They are used for correct wheel seating and to reduce the risk of vibration resulting from inaccurate centering. Their selection requires checking the inner and outer diameter and the material, as it depends on the specific rim and hub.

How to choose rims and tires for a specific car version?

It is best to compare the OEM number, diameter, width, ET, bolt pattern, and center bore with the data intended for the given car version. It is also worth checking the brake size, body type, suspension version, and the presence of TPMS sensors. For complete wheel sets, tire size compatibility on a given axle also matters.

What symptoms indicate a problem with a rim or wheel accessory?

Typical symptoms include steering wheel vibration, difficulties with balancing, uneven tire wear, or leaks at the tire-rim interface.
