Purpose and function of the 12V socket

The presented cigarette lighter socket panel is designed as an integral part of the low-voltage power supply system in the Audi A3/S3 8V. It is responsible for safely delivering 12V power to auxiliary devices such as chargers, dash cams, or other accessories powered by the cigarette lighter socket. Thanks to its factory design, the socket maintains full compatibility with the electrical wiring and interior trim elements, which minimizes the risk of installation issues and eliminates the need for system modifications.

Panel construction and fitment for Audi

The socket panel was developed by the Audi brand with a focus on precise fitment with the center console and other cockpit elements in A3/S3 8V models. The properly selected mounting geometry and housing shape allow for stable seating of the socket, without play or unwanted vibrations while driving. This solution is particularly beneficial when replacing a damaged or worn-out socket, as it maintains the original interior styling line and does not introduce visual differences compared to other factory components.

Benefits of using an original used component

Choosing an original, used 12V cigarette lighter socket panel for the Audi A3/S3 8V is a solution that combines economic aspects with the preservation of factory quality. The item comes from dismantling, ensuring that the construction, materials, and workmanship meet the vehicle manufacturer's standards. Original components of this type are particularly valued by users who care about equipment consistency and by those planning to resell the car later. Using a factory part instead of a replacement allows for maintaining compliance with service documentation and vehicle configuration. Electrical system application and installation

The 12V cigarette lighter socket panel operates within the low-voltage electrical system, responsible for the safe connection of power consumers in the cabin. With proper installation, adequate contact stability and correct wire routing are maintained, which reduces the risk of overheating and voltage drops. Due to its factory origin, installation is limited to seating the panel in the designated place and connecting the vehicle's wiring connectors. The lack of need for adaptation or modifications is a significant advantage compared to universal aftermarket solutions.
